As summer inevitably extracts the green from our lawns, and jacarandas drop their periwinkle plumes onto a ground that's edging towards a crunchy, straw-like version of its spring self, it's a good time to scale back your gardening goals and opt for an abundant (and very manageable) flower bowl or two!
If low effort with high reward is the mood you're feeling this late summer, then flower bowls are for you! Once your ducks are aligned, we promise you'll be done and dusted in less than 20 minutes, with a completely beautiful bowl of your most treasured blooms.
We've selected 6 of our current favourites with some planting inspo to get you in a creative mood.

Drum Bowl
Rambling, delicate Seaside Daisies are not given the credit they so deserve!
Growing almost anywhere, rock crevasses et al, the stunning Drum Bowl would make the ideal home for such a hardworking beauty.

Subway Bowl
The Litework (lightweight) Subway in Cement is an exercise in understated design.
Details that don't overwhelm, but create interest, much like the plantings in the pot pictured here!
Opting for a two-toned colour palette is an inspired way to approach selecting your flora, allowing you to concentrate on texture and scale.

Kato Bowl
A modern take on a planter bowl, Kato is one of our most popular pots; at home indoors, and out.
Planted out with any one of the hundreds of hydrangea varieties, Kato will shine at any entryway, terrace or balcony.
And who doesn't love a Hydrangea?! Actually, Madonna loathes them apparently, but we probably don't need to worry about her popping over...too often.

Gobi Bowl
Inspired by these gorgeous copper basins, our terracotta Gobi bowls are the perfect way to add a similar warmth and vibrancy to cool-toned paving areas.
Load them with jewel-hued flowers, like these incredible Geraniums to amp up the colour contrast.

Lotus Bowl
Sleek and perfectly balanced, Lotus bowls, in White Terrazzo are the ideal hybrid of classic and contemporary design. We absolutely love the idea of planting them with Ornamental Clover! Soft, sweet little leaves and adorable (remember Horton Hears A Who?!) pink, pom pom, flowers.
An unexpected and interesting way to get a pop of colour in an elegant planter.

Orbit Bowl
Sitting somewhere between a drum and the familiar bowl, is the white washed (and very pretty) Orbit.
The planting here is so incredibly beautiful and mirrors the Japanese art of Ikebana.
A sublime undertaking like this needs a vessel to match and Orbit is definitely up to the task!
