Just like fashion trends, interior trends come and go, albeit not as quickly and the juxtaposition tends to have a longer turn-around time.
In fashion, it's skinny jeans in May, but by the time August rolls around, bell-bottoms are the only acceptable choice for a gal (or guy) about town.
The world of interiors is a little more forgiving; trends evolve over years, and homemakers (who are interested) tend to only dabble in them, unless they're undertaking a full overhaul or renovation, opting for simple changes like fresh paint colours, a new lamp or cushion from time to time.

This makes sense, is economically and environmentally conscious and to be perfectly honest, having a cutting-edge home is not at the top of everyone's to-do list!
Having a comfortable home that feels like "them" is most people's priority.

How one achieves a home that feels like "them" is highly subjective, but the general consensus would be to surround yourself with items that tell your life story and have a bit of soul attached to them.
That could be pieces picked up on travels; baskets, artwork, vessels and knick-knacks. It could also be hero-ing long-loved family "heirlooms" like well-worn tables or chairs.
This is why the "trend" currently called Organic Modern is never out of fashion. Tuscan Farmhouse, Wabi-Sabi, and Rustic Minimalism; they're all essentially the same idea.
Natural materials in largely neutral colours, texture, aged timber pieces, patina and eclectic groupings of family treasures all with a lived-in feel.

Organic Modern is completely timeless because it's how we've decorated our homes since the start of (our) time.
A handmade, rustic, timber table today follows the same principle it did 500 or 5000 years ago.
Perhaps a linen slip-cover sofa wasn't on Queen Elizabeth's (the first one, that is) shopping list, but it wouldn't have looked out of place in her sitting room either.

And, of course, since the dawn of time clay pots have been ESSENTIAL to our evolution!
Cherished and revered for their functionality and beauty. Part of the every day; holding, serving and cooking food and drink and realising visions of luxury decorating gardens, halls and rooms of all shapes and sizes.
